Dr. Selina Amin
Dr. Selina Amin is a public health professional with over 25 years of experience in primary health care services especially in maternal neonatal child and adolescent health, in Bangladesh. She implemented health, family planning and girls’ right programmes and provided strategic direction. She was a pioneer in implementing adolescent friendly health services (AFHS) at the rural government facilities, communities and in urban slums.  She was engaged in developing neonatal strategy and adolescent reproductive health strategy. She contributed significantly in facilitating public private partnership with a diverse group of stakeholders including national and local organizations as well as with rural and urban poor communities. 

Her accomplishment also include involving local government for using their budget for health services. She explored health system solutions for providing meaningful quality services to mothers and neonates through making government union health facilities functional. For doing that she worked with human resource analysis for health sector of Bangladesh. Currently, she is working with developing midwives with international standard education and skills in the biggest, innovative private sector midwifery programme of Bangladesh working with James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) of BRAC University. She manages seven academic sites to produce the midwives mostly from marginalized population.
