Bangladesh University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and VAALO avant-garde Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 04 August 2026 to strengthen collaboration in ethical values, training, research, student engagement, career development, internships, knowledge exchange, and institutional capacity building.
The signing ceremony was held at BUFT at 2:30 PM, bringing together senior representatives from both institutions. The agreement was signed on behalf of BUFT by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and on behalf of VAALO avant-garde Ltd. by Dr. Nazneen Akhter, Founder and Managing Director.
A central component of the agreement is the rollout of "Value Corner: Practicing Integrity in Everyday Life" at BUFT; an initiative designed to encourage students to practice integrity, ethical decision-making, accountability, and positive values in their academic, personal, and future professional lives. Beyond this, the partnership will drive joint initiatives spanning training, research, student engagement, career development, internships, knowledge exchange, and institutional capacity building, giving students greater opportunities to connect academic knowledge with practical experience while fostering a culture of ethical leadership and professional responsibility.
The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate) of BUFT, along with senior officials and representatives from both institutions. Dr. Nazneen Akhter delivered a vote of thanks to all present, while Prof. Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, directed both teams to move swiftly toward putting the MoU into action. As a gesture of goodwill and partnership, BUFT presented VAALO avant-garde Ltd. with a plant and a commemorative souvenir following the signing.
The MoU marks an important step in strengthening institutional collaboration between BUFT and VAALO avant-garde Ltd., reflecting a shared commitment to innovation, integrity, knowledge generation, and meaningful student engagement. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to help shape a generation of young professionals equipped not only with academic and technical knowledge, but also with the values, skills, and ethical mindset needed to make a positive contribution to society.
