A comprehensive series of professional training sessions organized by the BCS Livestock Academy, Savar concluded on 26 February 2026, marking the successful completion of capacity-building initiatives for more than 800 newly appointed government officials. Participants included BCS Veterinary Surgeons, Upazila Livestock Officers, and District Civil Surgeons who attended the program in different batches.
The training aimed to strengthen technical knowledge, public health awareness, and communication skills among frontline livestock and health professionals. A key highlight of the series was the sessions conducted by Dr. Nazneen Akhter, Founder and Managing Director of VAALO avant-garde Ltd.
Dr. Akhter delivered an interactive session on PHIEC and Risk Communication, focusing on practical strategies for effective public health engagement, crisis communication, and community trust-building. Her approach emphasized participation, dialogue, and real-life case discussions to ensure meaningful learning outcomes.
Beyond the technical components, Dr. Akhter introduced value-based discussions addressing ethical leadership, accountability, and the importance of restoring missing social values within professional practice. This added dimension encouraged participants to reflect on their broader responsibilities as public servants.
The last session on 26 February concluded with active engagement from participants, reinforcing the importance of informed communication and value-driven leadership in advancing public health and livestock services across Bangladesh.
