Recognized in 1st December 1988, World AIDS Day is dedicated to spreading awareness of the AIDS pandemic spread by HIV infection, show support to people who are fighting HIV and to mourning those who have died of the disease. An estimated 40 million people worldwide have died of AIDS since 1981, and an estimated 37 million are living with HIV, making it one of the most important global public health issues in recorded history.
International HIV/AIDS Alliance (IHAA) is a global partnership of nationally-based organizations working to support community action on AIDS in developing countries. Our honorable Founder and Managing Director of VAALO avant-garde Ltd, “Dr. Nazneen Akhter”, attended the 6th Annual Director’s Meeting held in Kenya in 2010 as an active Director from Bangladesh. She was the Managing Director of HASAB- Health and Social Action Bureau, which has the long working experience in the field of HIV/AIDS and STI prevention in Bangladesh. The organization provided financial and technical support for conducting HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness events for a long time.
Despite recent improvements in treatment, the AIDS epidemic still claims an estimated two million lives each year, of which more than 250,000 are children. VAALO avant-garde Ltd’s upcoming online educative interactive seminar on 5th December named "Women, Disease & Violence: Where we are!" will lighten up the topic where the respective panelists will discuss and enlighten us with their precious thought.
