The International Federation of Medical Students Associations - Jordan organized the "International Conference on Public Health and Humanitarian Action" (ICPH2A), which took place on September 23 and 24, 2022. (IFMSA-Jo). This was the first conference organized by students with the goal of concentrating on various public health and humanitarian challenges among low-income communities. Our Founder and Managing Director, Dr. Nazneen Akhter represented VAALO avant-garde Ltd. as a key speaker on the plenary-1 of this International Conference.
The IFMSA's national project Universal Medicine, which included this conference, was started a year ago to assist the population's minorities. As part of this project, many sorts of research, medical awareness campaigns, and contribution collecting have been carried out throughout Jordan.
Along with other issues including maternal health, sexual and reproductive health, economic growth in low-income populations, Health Access and Behaviour, Mental Health, Humanitarian Action, Youth Empowerment, Refugees and low-income populations crisis, Substance Misuse, and COVID-19 the conference's main focus was "Empowering Global Healthcare in Low-Income Populations." On Plenary 1, Dr. Nazneen Akhter- delivered a noteworthy talk regarding global action for public health challenges affecting low-income communities.
On Day 2, a debate over "COVID-19 immunization reluctance among developing populations" effectively concluded the conference. Such initiatives significantly contribute to the global advocacy of public health concerns and research-based public health policies by bringing together researchers, scientists, academics, national and worldwide keynote public health specialists, healthcare professionals, and politicians.
