Dhaka, 25 August 2026: LaunchPad 1.0 - Orientation & Case Competition, organized by the SAU ICT & Career Development Club of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), was successfully held with the aim of fostering new opportunities, enhancing students’ skills, and encouraging creative and innovative thinking.
The event was organized at the Seminar Room of the Administrative Building of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. Alongside welcoming the students of the 2026 batch, the programme created a unique platform for students to learn new skills, demonstrate their capabilities, work collaboratively to solve problems, and present practical and innovative ideas.
The programme was graced by Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Latif, Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Agribusiness Management, attended the event as a Special Guest. Dr. Nazneen Akter, Founder & Managing Director of VAALO avant-garde Ltd., attended the programme as an invited guest and represented VAALO’s support for this youth-focused initiative. As part of its commitment to encouraging young talent and promoting youth development, VAALO avant-garde Ltd. sponsored the prize money for the winning teams of the LaunchPad 1.0 Case Competition. The event was also attended by Mr. Bashir Ahmed, Deputy Executive Director of ACI Fertilizer, as an esteemed guest. Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Sarker, Moderator of the SAU ICT & Career Development Club, guiding and supporting the successful implementation of the programme with his leadership and commitment contributed significantly to making the event meaningful and impactful for the participating students.
A total of seven teams participated in the Case Competition, where participants demonstrated their creative thinking, analytical abilities, teamwork, and presentation skills by proposing practical solutions to different challenges. At the conclusion of the competition, the top three teams were announced as winners. The programme was attended by approximately 100 students, providing them with an opportunity to engage with the club, develop new skills, and explore opportunities for leadership and career development.
