On October 23, 2024, VAALO avant-garde Ltd. successfully completed the second batch of its comprehensive training on Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA) and Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) for the staff of the Association for Prevention of Septic Abortion, Bangladesh (BAPSA). Held from October 22 to 23, the interactive training session aimed to enhance BAPSA staff's ability to embed gender equality and human rights principles within their sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programs.
The second batch brought together 18 participants, including key healthcare professionals and administrative staff, who engaged in discussions, case studies, and group activities focused on the practical application of GTA and HRBA concepts. The session concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony attended by Mr. Md. Altaf Hossain, Executive Director of BAPSA, and Md. Hadayeat Ullah Bhuiyan, Director of BAPSA, along with other senior officials. VAALO’s facilitators, Umme Suriea and Sabrina Afrin Soha, presented certificates to all participants, acknowledging their successful completion of the program.
Earlier, on October 17, 2024, VAALO had successfully concluded the first batch of this training, held from October 16 to 17, with 20 participants, including doctors, paramedics, nurses, counselors, and administrative staff. Both batches of training, supported by Swedish Sida, reflect the ongoing collaboration between VAALO and BAPSA to strengthen gender-sensitive, rights-based approaches in healthcare across Bangladesh.
