As part of VAALO’s Social Responsibility, VAALO initiated a new Knowledge management outreach program with School of Life, focusing on SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) to disseminate essential life-skills–based knowledge among underprivileged schoolchildren.
The initiative was implemented from 5 February to 3 December 2025, during which VAALO conducted four structured and interactive classes every month at the School of Life. The sessions covered a wide range of topics including leadership, nutrition, human rights, road safety, money management, teamwork, Bangladeshi culture, science in everyday life, national heroes and Victory Day.
To systematically measure learning outcomes, pre-tests were administered at the beginning of each month and post-tests at the end of the month to assess topic-specific knowledge gains. In addition, a comprehensive assessment was conducted every six months to evaluate overall improvement in students’ knowledge and life-skills.
At the end of the year, following the written and viva examinations, it was observed that the students had acquired substantial knowledge of essential life-skills. They also informed our team that they intend to apply these skills in their own lives.
Encouraged by the positive results of this outreach initiative, VAALO plans to expand with the School of Life program to another school from next year, further strengthening its commitment to inclusive and holistic education for marginalized children.
