Women are an indispensable part of society and the most crucial element in the overall socio-economic development of a nation. Considering all the important aspects and vital history line, International women’s day is celebrated all over the globe where VAALO becomes a part of this glorious event through its value-adding open interactive sessions every year align with the topic published as the global theme. So, this year, VAALO avant-garde Ltd. organized an interactive open discussion session on "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality" on March 18th, 2023, at the corporate office. The event brought together the women business initiator as guest panelists from various industries to discuss the challenges and opportunities for achieving gender equality through innovation and technology.
The session was inaugurated and moderated by Dr. Nazneen Akhter, Founder & Managing Director of VAALO avant-garde Ltd., who emphasized the importance of gender equality in the workplace and the need for technological advancements. Team members, Ms. Umme Suriea and Ms. Sabrina Afrin also put their significant input through session facilitation and a formal presentation in the session.
As the guest panelists, VAALO was honored to have Ms. Wahida Akhter Shurovi, CEO of SUNVI; Ms. Huraira Shishir, Founder & CEO of Butterfly Matrimonial; Umme Resalat, Owner & Founder, Tale of Dessert; Momotaj Jahan Toma, Founder & Owner of Rongin Shuta. All the guest panelists are currently operating their respective businesses through online using different technological means, hence they broadly shared their experiences and challenges in the market setup. The panelists also discussed the importance of promoting women's entrepreneurship and the need for more resources and support to encourage women-led startups. The conversation also touched on the role of the government and the private sector in creating an environment that supports gender equality and women's empowerment.
The audience of the program from diverse universities, actively participated in the discussion, asking insightful questions and sharing their experiences on the topic. The event concluded with a networking session, allowing participants to connect and exchange ideas.
