A one-day refresher training on Gender Transformative Approach (GTA) and Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) was successfully conducted on 24 December 2025, organized by BAPSA to strengthen the practical application of gender and rights principles in SRHR programming.
The training brought together 15 participants, including project coordinators, program design professionals, clinic managers, and senior-level staff of BAPSA. The objective of the refresher was to revisit core concepts, reconnect learning with field-level realities, and reinforce institutional commitment to gender equality and human rights. The sessions were delivered in an interactive and participatory manner, incorporating case studies, role play, group discussions, and reflection exercises. These methods enabled participants to critically analyze real-life service delivery and program design challenges through GTA and HRBA lenses, ensuring relevance to their ongoing work.
The refresher training served as an effective flashback of previous GTA and HRBA training, allowing participants to consolidate earlier learning while identifying gaps, challenges, and opportunities for improved implementation. Particular emphasis was placed on translating principles into practice within SRHR service delivery, project design, and management processes.
By the end of the training, participants demonstrated enhanced clarity on applying gender transformative and rights-based approaches in their respective roles and committed to integrating the learning into future programs and services.
