Overview: The training outlined in the agreement between BAPSA and VAALO focuses on integrating Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA) and Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) into BAPSA's sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programs. This training is designed to enhance staff capacity and ensure that gender-sensitive and rights-based approaches are embedded throughout the organization’s operations. It will be conducted in two batches over a total of four days, with each batch attending a two-day interactive session (12 hours in total). These sessions will incorporate various participatory methods, including case studies, presentations, group discussions, and collaborative work.
Workshop Objectives:
The objective of the training is to enhance the capacity of BAPSA’s staff by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to integrate Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA) and Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) into their sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programs.
The training aims to update existing policies to reflect modern gender equality and human rights principles, develop a comprehensive gender mainstreaming checklist, and foster practical skills for implementing gender-sensitive and rights-based practices. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that BAPSA's operations promote gender equality, social justice, and non-discrimination in SRH service delivery.

• Sabrina Afrin Soha - a Pharmacy Graduate with a Master’s in Public Health, has served as a Senior Program and Research Associate at VAALO avant-garde Ltd. for two years. She brings expertise in research development, field operations, and strategic planning, with extensive experience working on national and international projects, including COVID-19 response initiatives. In addition, she is proficient in integrating Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA) and Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) into her work, ensuring that gender equality and human rights principles are central to public health strategies and interventions.
