VAALO an independent social business venture, has long been committed to humane development and social innovation. Guided by its vision of creating value-attention learning options, the organization promotes positive social values, ethically led innovations, and goodness-driven development efforts.
As part of this commitment to society, VAALO recently carried out a meaningful community initiative in Korail Slum, Banani, Dhaka, focusing on improving learning conditions for underprivileged children. During one of its CSR initiative, the team discovered Moonlight Kindergarten School, a learning space serving children from low-income families. Despite the teachers’ dedication, the school’s physical condition was poor faded walls, broken class room dividers, and damaged benches made it difficult for children to study comfortably.
Recognizing education as a cornerstone of humane development, VAALO took action through its Company Social Responsibility (CSR) platform. In October 2025, the organization launched a school renovation project to create a safer, more inspiring learning environment. Classrooms were repainted, dividers repaired, and benches renewed and colorfully finished. These upgrades transformed the space and restored dignity and motivation among both students and teachers.
The impact was immediate. Children who once struggled to sit or focus now enjoy bright, comfortable spaces that encourage learning and creativity. Teachers expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting how the new environment uplifted the morale of both staff and students.
Looking ahead, VAALO plans to further enhance Moonlight Kindergarten School. Pending proper resources, the organization aims to continue renovations from painting the exterior to planting trees around the school creating a green, safe, and inspiring environment for learning.
