On 24 June 2026 VAALO avant-garde Ltd. has successfully completed the development of comprehensive Contingency Plans for three Peer Humanitarian Partners (PHPs)—BINDU Nari Unnayan Sangathan (BINDU), Palli Chetana, and Uddipto Mohila Unnayan Sangstha (UMUS)—under the ToGETHER-2.0 Programme implemented by Mukti Foundation. The assignment aimed to strengthen the preparedness and institutional resilience of local humanitarian organizations to respond effectively to disasters and emergency situations.
As part of this consultancy, VAALO employed a participatory and evidence-based approach that included organizational consultations, risk and capacity assessments, stakeholder engagement, and technical facilitation. The contingency plans were designed to enable each partner organization to identify potential hazards, assess organizational capacities and gaps, establish clear coordination and communication mechanisms, define roles and responsibilities, and develop practical response and recovery strategies aligned with humanitarian preparedness principles.
The assignment was led by Dr. Nazneen Akhter, Founder and Managing Director of VAALO avant-garde Ltd., together with a multidisciplinary technical team. Drawing upon extensive expertise in organizational development, humanitarian preparedness, governance, and capacity strengthening, the team ensured that each contingency plan was context-specific, practical, and tailored to the operational realities of the respective organizations.
The completed contingency plans provide the three PHPs with structured preparedness frameworks that enhance institutional readiness, strengthen emergency coordination mechanisms, and support timely and effective humanitarian response during crises. Beyond emergency planning, the assignment also contributed to improving organizational resilience, promoting risk-informed decision-making, and reinforcing sustainable institutional systems for disaster preparedness.
This successful consultancy reflects VAALO's continued commitment to supporting local humanitarian actors through high-quality technical assistance, organizational capacity development, and innovative consultancy services. By strengthening local organizations' preparedness capacities, VAALO remains dedicated to advancing resilient, inclusive, and locally led humanitarian action across Bangladesh.
