VAALO has successfully completed the field visit phase of its consultancy assignment titled “Developing Contingency Plan for PHP Partner of Together 2.0 Program.”
Under this assignment, Mukti Foundation selected VAALO to develop three separate contingency plans for its peer humanitarian partners BINDU Nari Unnayan Sangathan, Palli Chetana, and Uddipto Mahila Unnayan Sangstha under the Together 2.0 Program. The initiative aims to strengthen organizational preparedness and response mechanisms in humanitarian and development contexts.
As part of the consultancy process, the VAALO team conducted an intensive field visit on 2–3 February, 2026 in Satkhira. The team visited Mukti Foundation’s office and Uddipto Mahila Unnayan Sangstha in Tala Upazila, Bindu Nari Unnayan Sangathan in Kaliganj Upazila, and Palli Chetana in Satkhira Sadar.
The field engagement was designed to ensure that the contingency plans are evidence-based and context-responsive. VAALO conducted risk matrix assessments with humanitarian staff members of the partner organizations to identify institutional vulnerabilities, operational risks, and disaster preparedness gaps. In addition, FGDs were held with marginalized community members to understand ground-level risks, lived experiences, and local coping mechanisms. KIIs were also conducted with senior management representatives of the organizations to gather strategic insights into program operations, governance structures, and emergency response capacities. Through this participatory and analytical approach, VAALO gathered comprehensive insights to inform the development of tailored contingency plans aligned with each organization’s mandate and operational realities.
The successful completion of the field visits marks a significant milestone in the consultancy process, reinforcing VAALO’s commitment to strengthening humanitarian preparedness, risk-informed programming, and sustainable institutional resilience under the Together 2.0 Program.
