VAALO, a leading research organization, has recently completed a field visit of a perception study on the services provided by the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The field visit was conducted in February 2023, covering four divisions of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, and Rajshahi.
The study aimed to gather valuable insights from urban and rural areas on the services provided by BDRCS in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Two separate teams were assigned to collect data from different stakeholders, including the general public, health workers, and local authorities.
The field visits, which lasted for several weeks, were completed and the data collected will be analyzed by VAALO researchers. The findings will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the BDRCS Covid-19 response and identify areas for improvement.
According to VAALO officials, the perception study is part of a broader effort to support the government of Bangladesh and its partners in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. The study will also contribute to the global understanding of best practices in pandemic response and preparedness.
The results of the study are expected to be shared with BDRCS officials, policymakers, and other stakeholders in the coming weeks. The findings will help inform future decisions on Covid-19 response and preparedness efforts in Bangladesh and beyond.
