On 22 June 2026, VAALO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ethnic Community Development Organisation (ECDO) to strengthen collaboration in community engagement and social development, health, and social change initiatives across Bangladesh.
The partnership began with a consultation meeting held on 9 June 2026 via Zoom between VAALO and ECDO. The meeting created an opportunity for both organisations to present their respective mandates, ongoing work, and strategic priorities. Discussions focused on identifying joint opportunities aligned with both organisations' expertise, including capacity-building and training programmes, research and consultancy services, CSR initiatives, and joint development of project proposals.
Following this constructive dialogue, both organisations formally signed the MoU on 22 June 2026, initiating a partnership approach.
The MoU outlines a task-based, consortium-oriented collaboration framework, providing a foundation for joint initiatives and resource mobilisation efforts between the two organisations. This partnership reflects a shared vision to advance inclusive, community-driven development practices that meaningfully support underserved and vulnerable populations, including tea garden communities, across Bangladesh.
