VAALO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Grassroot Disability Organization (NGDO) to strengthen collaborative efforts in disability-inclusive initiatives in Bangladesh.
The partnership began with a consultation meeting held on 18 January 2026 between VAALO and NGDO. The meeting created an opportunity for both organizations to present their respective mandates, ongoing work, and strategic priorities. Discussions focused on understanding NGDO’s grassroots engagement with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and VAALO’s expertise in research, training, consultancy, and ethical innovation. Both teams explored potential areas of collaboration, including proposal development, technical support, capacity building, documentation, and consortium-based initiatives. Following this constructive dialogue, both organizations formally signed the MoU on 25 January 2026, initiating a partnership approach.
The MoU outlines mutual roles and responsibilities, including technical and knowledge-based support from VAALO and disability-focused expertise and grassroots coordination from NGDO. It was signed by Abdul Hie Mondol, President of NGDO, and Dr. Nazneen Akhter, Founder and Managing Director of VAALO avant-garde Ltd.
This partnership reflects a shared vision to promote inclusive, rights-based, and sustainable development practices that meaningfully engage and empower persons with disabilities across Bangladesh.
