VAALO a women-led and gender-responsive social business venture, continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to value-driven, ethical, and inclusive development through its Company Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. With a primary focus on women and children, VAALO designs and implements programs that promote knowledge, wellbeing, and long-term social transformation.
Since January 2025, VAALO has been implementing a CSR initiative titled “Holistic Knowledge Management Approach” at the School of Life in Mirpur. Under this initiative, VAALO conducted four interactive classes each month, held every Wednesday. The sessions were designed to raise students’ awareness about the significance and background of nationally and internationally observed special days. In addition, regular classes covered essential topics such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and life skills. The initiative generated notable positive outcomes, fostering increased awareness, confidence, and healthy practices among students. A total of 29 students from School of Life actively participated in this programme.
Building on the success and positive impact of the 2025 program, VAALO has continued its engagement in 2026 by launching a new initiative titled “Health Education Awareness and Lifestyle Transformation for Happiness.” Inspired by the Government of Bangladesh’s Little Doctor Program, this initiative aims to further strengthen students’ health literacy and practical life skills.
As part of this year-long program, the VAALO team has developed a student-friendly awareness handbook to support learning both inside and outside the classroom. The program will cover 26 carefully selected topics, delivered through four classes per month, following the same structured approach as the previous year. Key focus areas include first aid, basic medical knowledge, communicable and non-communicable diseases, menstrual hygiene management, and medicine awareness.
In 2026, VAALO has expanded the reach of this CSR initiative by including an additional school in Karail, namely the Moonlight School. The same set of activities and learning modules being implemented at School of Life will be replicated at Moonlight School to ensure consistency and equal learning opportunities. A total of 18 students from Moonlight School are participating in the programme this year.
Through this expanded initiative, VAALO aims to equip students with practical knowledge that will help them better understand common health risks in today’s context, make informed decisions, and respond appropriately during emergencies. The distribution of the awareness handbook is expected to further reinforce learning, enabling students to revise lessons at home and access written guidance during times of need.
This CSR partnership with School of Life and Moonlight School reflects VAALO’s continued dedication to child-focused development initiatives and its broader vision of nurturing informed, healthy, and responsible future citizens.
