The Department of Public Health at the Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) organized a Career Development Programme titled “Public Health Career: Opportunities and Future Directions” on October 8, 2025. The event aimed to guide aspiring public health professionals toward impactful and sustainable career pathways.

The session commenced with a Welcome Address by Prof. Dr. H. M. Johirul Haque, Vice Chancellor, CUB, who emphasized the growing need for competent and ethically grounded professionals in the public health sector.

The Keynote Speech was delivered by Dr. Aftab Uddin, Senior Health Advisor, HOPE Foundation, and former Chairperson, Public Health Foundation Bangladesh. Dr. Aftab Uddin shared his insights on the evolving landscape of public health and its significance in Bangladesh’s socio-economic development.
