The 3rd National Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights has been successfully organized through the online platform “Zoom” in 2 days, 28th & 29th August 2021. SNV Netherlands Development Organization & Department of Population Sciences, University of Dhaka has jointly organized this giant event having VAALO avant-garde Ltd. as the knowledge partner.
The program was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, the Vice-Chancellor of University of Dhaka. Mr. Abdul Mannan, MP & the Honorable Minister, Ministry of Planning, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has participated as the Chief Guest. The Honorable Minister has shared his optimism regarding the recent development projects undertaken in Bangladesh. Dr. Sue Ellis, the Country Director-Bangladesh, SNV Netherlands Development Organization has participated in the program as the Special Guest of the event. During her speech, she thanked the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh for supporting the initiative.
The whole conference consisted of 4 significant sessions conducted by distinguished moderators. Each of the sessions was completed by lively sharing of immense knowledge and facts regarding the theme of the conference by the respected paper presenters. The honorable discussants also provided their insightful views on the matters in each session and enlighten the program with news suggestions & solutions.
The 3rd National Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights was a huge success. It was really contributory and a source of significant facts for government and non-government authorities who will hopefully bring changes in policy level for overall development. The conference ended with the valuable vote of thanks by “Professor Dr. Mohammad Bellal Hossain”, Department of Population Science, University of Dhaka, and Ms. Farhtheeba Rahat Khan, Team Leader RMG Inclusive Business Programs, SNV Netherlands Development Organization. Besides the ending speech of the chief guest on the final day, Ms. Fazilatun Nessa Indira MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh made the ending more enlighten and glorified along with the cordial speeches of the special guests, Mr. Faruque Hassan, President BGMEA, Ms. Paula Schindeler, Deputy Head of Mission Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Professor Dr. A. S. M. Maksud Kamal, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic), University of Dhaka respectively.
