Writing is a medium of reflection, similar to that of art and music; it endows humanity with the ability to contemplate multiple aspects of life. To channel this power among young students and others, VAALO avant-garde Ltd. initiated an essay writing competition “Stamp your Mind: Think & Write” Session’01 back in 2021. As a creative way forward of human development, innovation and social change organization, VAALO promotes positive social values and progressive ideas among young minds. VAALO always believes writing possesses capabilities that are often unrecognized by the common masses. Individuals who have the ability to write also have the ability to change the world. So basically VAALO wanted to bring out thoughtful minds and reward them for their excellent thinking converted into words through this small initiative.
The competition was successfully completed last year. Out of huge creative writings on the given issues, the top ten write-ups were selected and ranked by a prominent judge panel. However, the grand finale of this essay writing competition where winners were announced was held online due to the short COVID-19 lockdown going on all over the country during that period. So, VAALO decided to organize a grand program separately on prize giving ceremony where the winners can take their prizes physically and feel festive on that day as well.
Though the team VAALO got engaged into different assignments and projects in the meantime but this prize-giving ceremony was also a concern for them. So finally on 22nd October 2022 VAALO successfully arranged the prize-giving ceremony of “Stamp your Mind: Think & Write” Session’01 and this time the venue was Brac University Auditorium. Our valuable event partner- “Brac University Leadership Development Forum (BULDF)” arranged all the necessaries of the event including the venue, VAALO is greatly thankful to them and wishes to work on more meaningful events in collaboration.
The prize-giving ceremony was harmonious and colorful with the lively presence of all the prize-expecting winners of the essay competition, the Brac University students and all the other officials of VAALO avant-garde Ltd. In this program, Dr. M Salim Uzzaman, Thought Leadership Advisory member of VAALO, specializing in Tropical medicine, Infectious disease & Public Health (Expertise in Health & wellbeing) was present as a chief guest who enlighten the crowd with his remarkable inspirational speech.
The prize has been distributed systematically among the top 10 participants where all of them received winning certificates and the top 3 (Champion, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up) received individual crests for their wonderful achievements. The program got a thoughtful shape with the deep motivational talk delivered by the honorable Founder & Managing Director of VAALO avant-garde Ltd. Dr. Nazneen Akhter. She connected the student’s mind present there and tried to express her broader expectations for the future generation in making a positive impact on the nation and society around them. Thus this small program comes to an end by greeting and handing over an appreciation crest to the event partner BULDF. This eminent club of Brac University put their best effort into making this event a success indeed. They also expressed their gratitude to the VAALO team by presenting a flower bouquet and drew a formal closure of this memorable prize-giving ceremony of “Stamp your Mind: Think & Write” Session’01.
